Acopia Networks is pioneering a new class of switching product called the Adaptive
Resource Switch creating an on-demand infrastructure for today's large enterprises. This innovative solution
provides visibility into how file storage, server and network resources are utilized and dynamically adapts
those resources to cost-effectively meet global service requirements. It also aims to dramatically change the
economics of today's distributed global infrastructures by significantly extending existing investments in
information resources and optimizing the delivery of, and access to, files worldwide.
Adaptive Resource Networking enables the enterprise to globally access, manage,
deliver and optimize file storage resources. By virtualizing and applying policy-based management to a
heterogeneous file storage infrastructure, it can be redefined as a scalable and balanced pool of distributed
file storage that is coordinated to deliver improved accessibility, higher utilization and a centralized
management view of the resources. With seamless integration into existing file storage infrastructure,
Adaptive Resource Networking can optimize existing file storage infrastructure, adapt resources to
user/application demand, control costs and scale file storage infrastructure.
