Freescale Integrates Bitfone Device Management Technology

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif., February 14, 2006 - Bitfone Corporation (www.bitfone.com), the pioneer and patent holder of firmware over-the-air
(FOTA) update technology for mobile phones, today announced that Freescale Semiconductor has selected Bitfone to provide over-the-air device management technology for its mobile platforms.
Bitfone's FOTA solutions provide the ability to diagnose, service and enhance mobile devices while in the subscribers' hands.
As a result, Freescale's customers will benefit from significant cost savings in customer service, reduced warranty expenses, increased subscriber
satisfaction, and broader adoption of advanced wireless services.

Bitfone's mProveTM and Mobile Variance Agent (MVA) clients enable such capabilities as FOTA and file-system updates as well as
OMA-DM protocol support for standards-based device management, which are planned for deployment on Freescale's i.300 and MXC300 3G platforms and
its i.250 2.5G platforms.
