June 30, 2006

Lowell, MA - June 30, 2006 - Acopia Networks ®, the pioneer of Adaptive Resource Networking products, today announced that its Adaptive Resource Switch (ARX®) series has been selected the Storage Product of the Year for 2006 at the annual Techworld Awards. Acopia's ARX switches were selected 1st from a group of six leading storage category finalists, out of a record-breaking number of product nominations. The Storage Product of the Year Award recognizes Acopia's ARX products for outstanding technical excellence, innovative functionality, leading performance and customer's return on investment.
"Acopia is deeply honored to have been selected for the Storage Product of the Year Award, out of such a prestigious group of storage industry finalists", said Christopher P. Lynch, President and CEO of Acopia Networks. "This kind of recognition further validates the strengths of the ARX products, the uniqueness of the solution, and the dramatic impact the ARX is having on our customers."

Acopia's award-winning ARX products embed file virtualization technology into the network to simplify the management of file storage and greatly improve the scale, performance and availability of existing NAS and file server infrastructure. Acopia's customers today include a growing list of Fortune 500 companies such as Merrill Lynch, Toshiba, Warner Music Group, Raytheon and Goldman Sachs.

Techworld's Storage Product of the Year for 2006 is the second industry distinction Acopia has received in less than a month. Early this month, Acopia's ARX was recognized as a Most Valuable Product finalist in the 2006 MVP Awards, sponsored by InfoStor and the Association of Storage Networking Professionals (ASNP).
