Telcordia Buys Granite Sytems

Atlanta, GA - June 3, 2003 - Telcordia Technologies, the world's largest provider of Operations Support Systems (OSS), and Granite Systems, a leading provider of Service Resource Management
(SRM) software solutions, today announced a relationship which couples the Telcordia next-generation OSS portfolio with Granite's inventory solution - the Xng® System. This agreement offers Granite
customers the opportunity to seamlessly integrate Granite's inventory module as an alternative to Telcordia's inventory with the Telcordia activation, fault and performance modules. Service providers
with Granite Inventory would be able to have network elements and connections activated through Telcordia's activation solution, as well as have Telcordia's fault and performance monitoring solutions
use Granite as the inventory database of record.
This partnership demonstrates Telcordia's commitment to an open systems approach with other leading vendors, combining complimentary technologies and expertise to provide new solutions to
the most critical problems facing service providers. Together, Telcordia and Granite offer a unique ability for Granite customers to improve customer service delivery times and reduce repair time across
multiple network layers and technologies, hence lowering operating costs.
