Verisign Acquires Geotrust for $125m in cash

On May 17th, Verisign announced the acquisition of Geotrust for $125 million in cash. Vesbridge was the lead investor in Geotrust, owning over 35% of the company and was instrumental in the company’s development since its inception and developing its capital efficient business plan which consumed less than $35 million in total capital before becoming cash flow positive. We are also fortunate to be able to continue to support TC TrustCenter, a successful Geotrust subsidiary that will be spun-of to the current GeoTrust shareholders and operated independently.
