Jeff Hinck - Senior Managing Director

Jeff’s career in technology has been principally as a venture capitalist and a consultant to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to Vesbridge, Jeff was a General Partner with Crescendo Ventures where he had been since its inception in 1998, and was a venture capitalist with IAI Ventures before Crescendo.
Some of Jeff’s representative investments include Algety (acquired by Corvis for $2 billion), NuSpeed (acquired by Cisco for $450 million), NetCentrex (acquired by Comverse Technologies for $165 million), IPCell (acquired by Cisco for $150 million), Sistina (acquired by RedHat for $42 million), iBeam (IPO), BroadSoft, and Compellent. Jeff also served on the boards of Picolight (acquired by JDSU, $115m) and Endwave (IPO).
In addition to his venture roles, Jeff was the CEO of Sistina Software, an infrastructure software company that developed a clustered file system for use in large datacenter storage environments and complex analytics. Jeff has also been an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Co.,
where he worked with several Fortune 500 companies principally on Operations and Technology/IT projects, was a John M. Olin Fellow in Law & Economics at Harvard Law School, was the Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy and taught Statistics at Harvard College. In 2006, Jeff was the President of the Minnesota Venture Capital Association.
